Women Drive Change

We are on the Roadways across Canada to Raise the Bar for women to be seen, heard, and valued! The 2021 Road Show features inspiring women from diverse industries making an impact, inspiring others to take action to SupportHER, and driving change!

This is the decade for women to drive change!

Now more than voices are needed to bring about the insight and perspectives required to ensure bright futures for us all.

It’s time for women to drive change.

Our goal is to take action to break down barriers to further amplify the voices of women in under-served  areas, industries, at the boardroom table, in the workplace, and in the community. To unite people,  companies committed to diversity and inclusion, and elevate the voices of female entrepreneurs,  business leaders, and change-makers, and position Canada as a global diversity leader. Indigenous women of this land be a valued part of the 2021 Road Show. Together we are stronger and the importance of ensuring every voice is honoured.

Our mission is to empower and connect 1 billion women.

COVID-19 – Due to COVID-19 we will be postponed to 2022. We are going virtual. Stay tuned for details.

Dr Sonya Richmond – Come Walk With Us | Royal Canadian Geographical Society Expedition Leader |  @ComeWalkwithUsonthe GreatTrail  | @TransCanadaWalk

Dr. Sonya Richmond completed an HBSc in Biology and Environmental Resource Science, an MSc in Watershed Ecosystems Management from Trent University, and a PhD in Forestry at the University of Toronto. Her post-doctoral research was at Bird Studies Canada as a Geographic Information Systems Analyst. She has won national scholarships, presented at professional academic conferences, published peer-reviewed articles, and worked on award-winning publications.

In 2019 she sold her house and suspended her career to venture across Canada on the 24,000km long Trans Canada Trail with the goal of inspiring people of all ages, abilities, cultures, genders, orientations, and identities to reconnect with nature through Citizen Science. Fewer have completed this trek on foot than have gone to the moon, and none have done so for a cause, with the primary purpose of promoting diversity, accessibility, and multiculturalism outdoors while inspiring youth to become advocates for nature, engaged explorers, and community leaders.

Her inspiring undertaking has been featured in media around the world, been highlighted as one of Canada’s top Travel Bloggers, been made a Trans Canada Trail Pathfinder, a member of the prestigious Explorer’s Club, a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, and recently been named an RCGS Expedition!
