They provide a safe\, affordable and accessible alternative to buying or selling bicycles online. Alberta Bike Swap has always donated more than half the profit back to the community to fund other cycling-related non-profits\, provide transportation security\, and fund safe cycling. As a Software Product Manager\, Laura designed the software for the bike swaps events and is designing a unique white label platform to take bike swap to the world market as Swaportunity. In 2021 Canada will ban single use plastic\, so Laura got an industrial design patent on a dry cleaning garment bag (usefulbags.ca) and turned that into a social enterprise that pays farm women a living wage to sew textile produce bags from fabric that would typically end up in the landfill\, the fabric waste is then vermicomposted. \nPeer to Peer Jam \n \nKaiya – Singer\, Songwriter\, Performer – 2019 Women of Inspiration™ Youth Excellence –  Kaiyas Music | @KaiyasMusic |  Instagram: @kaiyasmusicrocks\nWith a deeply soulful voice and a wisdom far beyond her years\, Kaiya is an emerging pop singer\, songwriter\, and multi-instrumentalist based in Calgary\, Alberta. Her latter song titled “Make It Right” asks “2020\, has been featured in the following media: CityTV\, CP24 News\, AM960\, 680 News\, Clarington This Week\, Orono Times\, Durham.com\, The RoundTable Talk show in Long Beach\, California Toronto Caribbean Virtual Festival and Ticker TV\, Australia\, to mention a few. You would think this would be a bad omen\, but the girl has grit and silly superstitions were just another obstacle to be tackled. She has been a force since toddlerhood\, never afraid to speak her mind (no matter how much it embarrassed her mother)\, and was often found singing as loudly as her tiny voice would allow\, from Adelle to an inspirational song about whatever was going on view at that very moment\, many one-hit wonders about papa’s tractors or birds\, she has under her belt. Music has always moved this beautiful soul\, after excelling in the choir\, solo vocals\, piano\, and guitar\, Chloe decided to take a break from conventional music and spends most days learning the ballads that speak to her. If you are lucky\, she shares the odd beauty on rare occasions or is asked to sing for the odd event. She’s humble with her harmony\, much to her family’s dismay. At the age of 10\, Chloe decided to broaden her talents and start Baseball and Hockey. Baseball came naturally to this girl\, home runs\, were added to her list of “can dos.” Hockey on the other hand was a different story. Her grandmother said it was more like watching bowling than hockey\, as Chloe skated full speed towards the puck\, tripped\, and took out anyone within a 6-foot radius. Our little bull in a china shop worked hard\, and within a few years had caught her teammates and continues to gain skills and break goals as now she plays the highest level of hockey now for the past three years. It shows what hard work can do. Baseball in the summers\, hockey in the winter\, singing at events in-between. You can’t buy grit\, and Chloe has it in spades. Academics follow suit with this hard-working girl’s aspirations\, always striving for the best\, to allow for the best future. You are an inspiration to all that meet you. You\, my girl\, are what happens when women believe in themselves\, live without fear\, and push those boundaries others place on them. The future is bright for you\, Chloe Shingoose\, keep working hard\, pushing limits\, and breaking glass ceilings. \n  URL:https://universalwomensnetwork.com/event/peer-to-peer-jam-role-model-talks/ LOCATION:Virtual ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/png:https://universalwomensnetwork.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/UWN-Peer-to-Peer-JAM-and-Role-Model-Talk-Twitter-NEW-e1619121521997.png END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
