Bonny is a respected women leader in the legal and alternative dispute resolution industries, as well as the newcomers community in Canada. She strives to provide affordable and accessible legal services to members of the marginalized communities, including women, youths, newcomers, and other visible minorities. Under her leadership, the East Asian and Pacific Legal Clinic is now registered with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), with an expectation to gain consultative status in 2023. Bonny has a passion for equity, social justice, advocacy, inclusive justice and peace building. Her recent pledge with the UN's SDG17, with a focus on quality education, reducing inequality, empowering women and girls, and justice and peace, includes such activities or projects as conflict resolutions training and coaching to women and girls worldwide, starting in Canada and the south pacific island countries, equipping them the skills and knowledge to grow both personally and professionally.
