Jessica Barpaye is a women’s rights advocate and a civil leader with over 10yrs of experience in advocacy. She is
the founder and executive director of WAGEP International, an organization that works to empower vulnerable war-affected
women and girls through programmes that promote their sense of self-worthiness and the ability to make their own
choices.Ms. Barpaye is considered one of the outstanding women’s leaders in Liberia who is positively shifting the country
through her organization which contributing to growth and development. Her contributions to society
continue as she advocates and provides empowerment opportunities for women and girls through education, micro-
loan, and vocational skills. She is an inspirational leader who inspires her followers.
