Moms Against Racism Canada - Founder
Kerry Cavers is a seasoned Community Builder and Founder of Moms Against Racism (Canada). She is a multiracial, cis-gender woman who identifies as Black and is a mother to 3 young children under 8. Under her leadership, MAR Canada, in under 18 months, has grown to have almost 2400 members across Canada and 40 active volunteers. She has led 65 workshops, webinars and support group sessions including: Anti Racism at Home, Behind the Smile, Land Acknowledgement, Professional Development Workshops for Educators, MAR Talks Interviews, Watch Events, and Learning/Study Group Discussions. She has delivered 130 Diverse Book Baskets across Canada and received recognition for MAR Canada as the 2021 Outstanding Community Organization for National Philanthropy Day. The impact of powerful antiracism education and dialogue grows every day, as 2400 moms and those in mothering roles learn, grow, transform and teach anti-racism to their children, families and wider communities.
