Robyn Coan is a pillar in the engineering and construction industry for Black Women. Her leadership in this career has been more than 30 years. She has contributed to the engineering foundation for Black Women at Burns & McDonnell. She has paved the way for Women of Color to navigate through a field that is dominated by men. She continues to inspire, lead and coach younger engineers as well as her engineering clients to take control of their decisions, and helps guide them to an economical solution. It is because of her leadership, her steps taken for women that I nominate Robyn Coan for the award of Transformational Leadership Award.
