Today is Women’s Equality Day and wanted to invite you to PAUSE with me to acknowledge this special day.
Let us not forget how far we have come, and how far we still have left to go. We all have our own stories, and now is the time to share those stories of women doing remarkable things in our thriving business community. It’s time to celebrate all the women in our lives, celebrate the trailblazers who came before us, and the women with us today who are breaking barriers and taking the road less travelled.
How do you celebrate Women’s Equality Day? Some ideas – send a note of gratitude to the women who have mentored, helped, or supported your own journey. Send flowers to your mom, sister, or best friend. Book a night out with the your SupportHERs and join us for the Women of Inspiration Awards Gala on Thursday, September 20, 2018. Issue a challenge to your male counterparts to become a Canadian Business Chick SupportHER Member.
From chick-to-chick support through our various membership levels to men supporting women through the SupportHER membership, we can all work together now, and in the future. It’s important and imperative to recognize the needs of women in the workplace and essential to offer a platform and space for mentorship, connection, networking, collaboration, and celebration.
Thank you to my long list of SupportHER’s, mentors, coaches, advisors, WOI Selection Committee, Board of Directors and Women of Inspiration and Canadian Business Chicks members who inspire me to keep pushing forward. This week, I’m celebrating each one of you! I look forward to continuing to realize dreams, leading with purpose and moving mountains with you!
