Jacqueline Wallace is Vice President, Marketing and Communications at Mitacs. She is responsible for setting the strategic direction for all communication and marketing efforts to increase market competitiveness and visibility among key stakeholders while establishing the Mitacs brand as a high-performing thought leader in the Canadian innovation ecosystem.
She is a former founder and entrepreneur of a series of startups in the creative industries. Most notably, she was the founder of Veer, Inc., the award-winning visual media and design company that was acquired by Bill Gates-owned Corbis Corporation.
Wallace holds a PhD in Communication, where her research focused on creative economies and promises and prohibitions of creative work for women entrepreneurs. She is passionate about inclusive design and accessibility and brings these strategic elements into all aspects of her work and leadership.
