Named in the top 50 female business leaders in Toronto 2023, and awarded Best Company and Outstanding Leadership in 2022 for her Metaverse platform, Carrie is known as a leader in emerging technology. Bringing 17 years in design and tech, today Carrie leads Relish Digital and Games, working with brands like Salesforce, the NFL, and the Lincoln Center to create visual stories, interactive games and metaverse experiences. Carrie leads a team of storytellers and world builders enabling the future of human-computer interactions. Carrie stays connected to the community as a Design Professor at George Brown College, a member of Guild AI, and as the Chapter Chair of the Global Leaders Organization, Toronto. She holds an eMBA specializing in Blockchain and Entrepreneurship and an MA in Literature from the University of Toronto.
The parts of my story that seem to resonate with people are taking a non-linear career path – how did someone with an arts degree end up in technology and business? And Otherhood – I did not choose to have children. I thought I would. I am happily married and as far as I know I am biologically capable. But I had other priorities and lead a very happy and fulfilled life. These are not necessarily the areas I prefer to speak to, but they are the ones that provide people with models they are not familiar with.
