Cheryl Cardinal

Cheryl Cardinal is Cree and Coast Salish and a citizen of the Sucker Creek Cree Nation in Treaty 8 territory. Cheryl Cardinal graduated from the University of British Columbia, earning a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Political Science and History. She completed Building a High Performing Business, an MBE program, at Dartmouth College’s Tuck School of Business. She has spent over 20 years working with various First Nations communities nationally and national Indigenous organizations in the area of energy and resources, education, research as well as program and economic development. Since 2018, Cheryl has worked with Ministers Jim Carr, Amarjeet Sohi, Seamus O'Regan and Anita Anand to improve relations between the federal government and Indigenous peoples.
