Genevieve Cabana-Proulx a recipient of the Médaille du Lieutenant-gouverneur du Québec, joined the team at the SOMA production house as a receptionist, and moved up to coordinator, then producer. Taken under the wing of her colleague, president Jacinthe Arsenault, she learned the basics of the trade quickly, becoming vice-president and partner in the company at age 27, which gained her a spot in the Infopresse 30/30 rankings. A few years later, she took the reins as president of and sole shareholder in SOMA.
Geneviève has an excellent eye for talent. With her curiosity and sensitivity, she has built a great team around her and created a healthy and empowering work environment. She loves adventure and is a great traveller ready to negotiate with this industry in whose image she’s made: energetic, athletic, and always on the move.
