Jennifer’s philosophy and work ethic shines through everything she does: she is constantly fostering and encouraging an inclusive environment with an unwavering focus on the strength of teamwork. As a trailblazer in the skilled trades and an advocate for women pursuing these careers which may have once been seen as “non-traditional”, Jennifer is a fearless leader and a mentor for many. She is a Licensed Industrial Mechanic Millwright, as well as the Director of Competitions & Young Women’s Initiatives at Skills Ontario, a not-for-profit that promotes skilled trades and technology careers to youth. She has become a prominent voice in Ontario and the country for the advocacy of women in these careers, using her platform to challenge social norms and empower the promotion of skilled trades as essential careers to all. Jennifer’s passion and hard work are what make her a deserving recipient of a Woman of Inspiration Award.
