Jonathan Durocher has been President of National Bank Financial Wealth Management, a National Bank subsidiary, since May 2020. His mandate is to define business strategies and ensure they are executed. Mr. Durocher is responsible for full-service brokerage activities, managing over 1,800 employees (including more than 860 Investment Advisors) and more than 110 billion dollars in assets. Mr. Durocher worked as a Manager at National Bank Financial Wealth Management in 2006 and then became Vice-President in 2008. In 2014, Mr. Durocher became the leader of National Bank Investments (NBI) where he was responsible for its management group representing over $54 billion in assets under management. As its President and Chief Executive, he was responsible for establishing its strategy, improving the client and employee experience, building an exceptional team and creating innovative solutions. Mr. Durocher is a member of the board of directors of the Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC) and works closely with many different fintechs. He was recognized in the Top 25 Stars of the Quebec of Tomorrow by the newspaper Les Affaires and won the Under 40 category of Finance & Investissement's Top 25 of Quebec’s financial industry competition. He also received the Succession Excellence Award in the Large Company category from HEC-Montréal. Mr. Durocher has served as honorary chair of the Grand Festin d’huîtres benefiting the Fondation Jean Lapointe since 2017. He is very active on LinkedIn, where he promotes financial literacy and shares his outlook on the wealth management industry. He also regularly contributes to The Globe and Mail. Mr. Durocher has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from HEC-Montréal and a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Université de Sherbrooke.
