Jackie is a courageous leader for inclusion and diversity. As an openly gay woman in mining, Jackie is a role model and change agent, leading initiatives that disrupt bias and drive employee engagement. Under her leadership as Director, Inclusion and Diversity at Teck Resources, she launched a global LGBTQ2+ Pride campaign which raised the profile of the LGBTQ2+ community across the global mining industry.
Jackie’s commitment to inclusion and diversity extends beyond her corporate role, as she was co-chair for the Lieutenant Governor’s Forum on First Nations (Ontario) and co-founded Leaders To Be Proud Of, a national awards program that recognizes gay and gay-positive business leaders.
She has also served on the boards and advisory committees of organizations including Pride at Work Canada, Royal Roads University Business School, the Mining Industry Human Resources Council, the Women’s Executive Network and Girl in the Wild, which empowers young women through adventure-based learning.
