I am a proud parent of four children, an Executive Vice President with one of Canada’s leading financial institutions, and a friend and mentor to many women and men. I am also a woman with gender transition experience, and in 2019, revealed my journey to embrace my true self as a woman. Coming out to family, friends and tens of thousands of colleagues at RBC is one of the most terrifying things I have ever done. Deeply fearful of hurting my family and being rejected by the world, which is common in the transgender community, instead I was received with overwhelming love and support. Today, I am living my best self.
