Dr. Karen MacNeil, Ph.D., R.Psyc, CPO, Chief Product Officer, Headversity | @DrKMacNeill | @Headversity

As the founder of Headversity, Dr. Karen MacNeill, Ph.D., R. Psyc is a performance psychologist, she has been working with Olympians and Fortune 500 Companies to provide the tools and strategies to help people build mental health, mental fitness, and resilience. Her mission is to help workplaces get ahead of adversity so their people can think, feel and BE better.

Dr. Karen MacNeill has the unique experience of having both competed and consulted on the World Stage. She is a performance psychologist with over 20 years of experience, having worked with athletes competing at the last 4 Olympic Winter Games, and competed herself at the international level for over a decade. Most recently, she was the Lead Mental Performance Consultant for the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Korea and will perform the same role in the 2021 Olympics in Japan. Karen thrives having a broad scope of practice focused on building mental health, mental fitness, and resilience. She is a founding partner with headversity, a mental wellness tech company that measures, tracks, and trains resilience to help people think, feel, and be better. She is a psychologist at Copeman Healthcare Centre, helping leaders and clients navigate mental health challenges and build resilience. Karen has also fulfilled contracts with multiple fortune 500 companies, has been a sessional instructor for the Haskayne School of Business MBA Programs teaching a course on High-Performance Leadership. Karen is a sought-after presenter and speaker having delivered multiple presentations to CEO forum, leadership conferences, and corporate events. She has been invited as a keynote speaker to industry-leading conferences, organizational retreats and presented to aspiring leaders at the Young Women of Influence event. She has also been selected as a TEDx speaker and was to deliver this talk later this spring. Karen provides leadership and contributes to her professional community having served on the Managing Council for Canadian Sport Psychology Associations, is a trustee for Canadian Athletic Foundation, and a member of Tourism Calgary’s Calgary Sport and Major Event advisory committee.

Lori is a dynamic and innovative business leader with over 20 years of leadership experience in the healthcare, group benefits and technology domains. Lori has a wealth of expertise, previously holding a number of executive positions within Sun Life Financial, and served as Chief Health Officer at League.

Lori is passionate about the power of partnership and enabling strategic alignment between start-ups and global enterprise organizations. She also is on the advisory boards of Move the Dial and Tech for Sick Kids Hospital.
