Articles Prisha Hedau

Hello,

I am reaching out in regard to submitting a nomination for your consideration, 10-year-old Prisha Hedau would be the perfect addition to your vision. In her talk Prisha shares about her experience during Covid-19 in being one of the youngest child authors in the world, what it was like writing a book during the pandemic (including reading excerpts from the book to her entire school), and how she was able to use funds from book sales to support local charities. She is passionate about showing others her age that giving back to your community can truly be easy. She appeared in more than 80+ TV and Digital articles US nationally and internationally – you can explore more about Prisha (including media interviews, International News, Awards, World Records) at her website www.prishahedau.com

Prisha Hedau never specifically set out to write a book. What started as daily note-taking on note cards to remember her experience during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, moved to essay writing after encouragement from her parents. Soon the Louisville, Kentucky resident’s thoughts became small chapters that created a book. Only nine years old when she wrote the book, but now 10, she is found to be among only a handful of published child authors in the world.

In Prisha’s book PANDEMIC 2020: A 9 Year Old’s Perspective, released in October 2020, readers are able to relate to her thoughts and feelings, and also find useful tips for non-traditional learning, finding new hobbies, and instilling healthy habits. This book is released globally in many countries and available for sale at major outlets in the world.

Prisha has been on a whirlwind of a media tour with her new title of one of the youngest known published authors in the world. She makes it very clear to journalists that she didn’t write the book to make money. She has stated that a portion will go towards her education, but she wrote the book to give back to Dare to Care Food Bank, a food bank serving the Louisville, Kentucky community, and to COVID-related organizations that will help people in her area.

Prisha says, “In 100 years from now, people can read my book and remember what 2020 was like.”

This 10-year-old isn’t slowing down even while in quarantine. As she adds author to her resume, it joins a long list of accomplishments, including holding state and national-level rankings in chess and math competitions and managing several social media platforms where she shares videos of herself-choreographed dances.
