Articles Sonya Shorey

Sonya is an inspirational community builder and an accomplished executive who has supported our organization in championing a number of amazing programs that support women leaders and business owners in our community. She chairs our Women Founders and Owners Sub-Committee, founder of an annual week long celebration in March in support of women’s international week, and helped launch She Boot an Ottawa-based 6-week boot camp that prepares founders to pitch their business and secure investment. She is an active community champion and is a board of director at the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre -Institute of Mental Health Research, Elevate International which aims to inspire, empower and elevate girls and woman, and with Mindtrust Leadership. She is a Volunteer Instructor with Technovation a program that offers girls around the world the opportunity to learn the skills they need to emerge as tech entrepreneurs and leaders.
