At a mere 23 years old, Katlyn has made outstanding contributions to mental health and community leadership in Canada. She is a powerful advocate for suicide prevention and as a public speaker Katlyn uses her voice to inspire people across the globe. She has served on a vast number of boards but I first met Katlyn in her role as Chairperson of Fierté Sudbury Pride where we launched the organization's most successful funding campaign, raising thousands of dollars to support the 2SLGBTQ+ community in Sudbury. Inspiring her to co-found the Northern Ontario Pride Connection, an organization that works to connect members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community and allies across Northern Ontario through educational workshops, advocacy, and events. Overall, Katlyn is an inspiring leader who has made a significant impact on mental health advocacy and community empowerment. She is a role model for young people and a powerful voice for positive change.
