Pamela is a passionate and high-impact leader with a proven leadership track record and over 20 years of experience driving sales growth and career development in the technology industry. As the Country Leader and Managing Manager, she is responsible for the strategic direction, growth, and performance of Dell Technologies Canada. Her greatest passion is bringing people together and helping them to reach their full potential. She coaches and mentors individuals at Dell Technologies and in the IT industry. She is the executive sponsor for the Dell Canada Women in Action ERG, is an ambassador for the Dell Women’s Entrepreneur Network, and leads several groups supporting Inclusion and equity for Women in IT.

Tell us about the initiatives or programs you have to support the advancement of women in your company.

Dell Technologies' 2030 moonshot goals for advancement of women:

1. By 2030, 50% of our global workforce and 40% of our global people leaders will be those who identify as women
2. Each year through 2030, 50% of the people empowered by our social initiatives will be girls, women, or underrepresented groups.

In Canada, Dell has put several initiatives in place to ensure the advancement of women both within and outside of the company. Internal programs include Aspiring Leaders Program, Field Readiness Program, Releasing Female Potential Program for high-potential mid-career female employees, Mentorship Programs, and many professional development resources and opportunities.

Tell is how you promote initiatives to support allyship and visible minorities:

Outside of formal programs and initiative, Dell has many Employee Resource Groups in place to foster a diverse and inclusive culture. These ERGs include Women in Action, Black Networking Alliance, Mosaic, Asians in Action, True Ability and many more! ERGs play a crucial role in fostering a sense of connection and belonging among marginalized groups and remote workers. Allies are always invited to join events, learn, and support their colleagues. The ultimate goal is to cultivate an inclusive atmosphere where individuals can bring their authentic selves to work and receive the necessary support for their personal and career development.

How is your company inspiring change to in your ecosystem to advance women in business?

For more than a decade, the Dell Women’s Entrepreneur Network (DWEN) has brought women entrepreneurs together from around the world to help them connect with each other, scale their businesses, and ultimately succeed. The DWEN community welcomes all levels of entrepreneurs, from start-ups to scale-ups. Joining DWEN provides access to women entrepreneurs from around the world and valuable resources to grow their business including the latest technology, access to funding resources, and best practices from a global network of members.
