Meet UWN National Ambassador – Grace Yan – Commercial Agent – Coldwell Banker Commercial – 2019 Women of Inspiration™ Inspire Award

UWN: Every woman has a story. Tell us about your story!

GC: I am a commercial agent with Coldwell Banker Commercial. I help with landlords and tenants with commercial lease negotiations, buying/selling businesses and coaching and guiding business owners through the process.

UWN: Are you finding inspiration in stories of courage, bravery, perseverance to support you through this time?

GC: Yes

UWN: How does it feel to be acknowledged as a Women of Inspiration?

GC: Great to be of help and guidance to others.

UWN: We are honoured to have you part of our journey. Why did you make the decision to become a National Ambassador?

GC: Once I was chosen as Women of Inspiration – to give back to the community.

UWN: Why is recognizing women in leadership roles critical? Why now more than ever should we recognize the achievements of leaders at all levels, including the unsung heroes.

GC: It is important that we all help each other during this time.

UWN: How has your adversity, and journey prepared you to lead through a crisis? What is one thing that you swear by that has helped you when faced with uncertainty or a challenge?

GC: What has helped me is the guidance and support of others as well.

UWN: Has this time of PAUSE given you time to gain a new perspective? What are some of the realizations you have made?

GC: Physical distancing has not really paused my life as I am busier than ever helping businesses with leases and dealing with landlords – I have realized that Realtors are really essential services.

UWN: How has the Global Pandemic affected you personally and professionally? Tell us how this has changed, motivated, or inspired you?

GC: The Global Pandemic has given me more exposure to the media.  It has been busy with many media interviews and podcasts.  It has motivated and inspired me that I am able to have a voice and resource for businesses and people in this Pandemic.

UWN: What words of inspiration and wisdom would you offer for leaders to through this historical time?

GC: If we can be anything – we can all be kind.

UWN: Where do you see yourself in the next five years?

GC: Still carrying on helping businesses and people navigate through a different world and different life.
