As a teenager, I came to Canada from the Middle East with my younger sister. It was a difficult time as we were both homesick and neither of us could speak English! However, we pressed on, went to school, adapted quickly, joined our community, and made new friends. I look back on this time and realize all I had was, desire, determination, and dedication, which I call my 3D’s. That was enough!
